Cobo Nurses

We have two full time nurses at Cobo, and we also have two nurses who are here part of the time.

Pauline De Bertrand is married with two children. She did her Nurse training at Leicester Royal Infirmary in 1971. After this she went on to train as a Midwife at St Mary's Hospital in Portsmouth in 1975. She moved to Guernsey in 1977 and initially worked as a Midwife. She joined Cobo Health Centre in 1989 as a Practice Nurse. She has a particular interest in Women's Health and she carries out the majority of the Cervical Smears at Cobo. In her spare time she plays a lot of tennis. Pauline carries out clinics on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday morning, and Thursday.

We have a new full time nurse who is about to join us at Cobo, and her details will be here very shortly.

Anne Chamberlain works at all three Surgeries in the Healthcare Group. She trained in Southampton before moving to Guernsey with her husband James. Initially she worked on Victoria Wing in the Princess Elizabeth Hospital and more recently has moved to working in a General Practice setting. She has a particular interest in heart disease and asthma and she also does a lot of the Audit Work in the Practice. In her spare time she enjoys playing Netball and Squash, walking her dogs and travelling. Anne carries out clinics here at Cobo on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon.

Caroline Oxborough is married with two children. She qualified as a nurse in 1981 from The Middlesex Hospital in London. She moved here to Guernsey in 1999. Her particular interest is in Community Nursing and she worked as a District Nurse on the mainland before becoming a Practice Nurse in 1990. She has recently completed her degree to become a specialist in Practice Nursing. Her main interests are in assisting people to manage their health, in particular those with asthma, heart conditions, diabetes and weight problems. She has recently set up health promotion clinics in each surgery. She carries out a Health Promotion Clinic on a Friday morning from 11:30 until 2:30 pm. She also does clinics at other times when one of the other nurses is away.
