From this page you will be able to access our pages of information that do not relate to Healthcare directly, but they may have some useful information for you. Some of this is related to the Medical Services here on Guernsey, and some is related to the Island itself. The latter has been put there if you are visiting the site from outside Guernsey.

HSSD

Health and Social Services is the government department formed under the new structure of Government. It is the old Board of Health and Guernsey Social Security Authority. This new department runs the PEH - Princess Elizabeth Hospital (the main Hospital), the Castel Hospital (where the Psychiatric Services are based) and the King Edward Hospital (where the Care of the Elderly Services are based). They also run the Mignot Memorial Hospital in Alderney.

Medical Specialist Group

Secondary Care on the Island (with the exception of Radiology, Pathology and Psychiatry) is provided by the Medical Specialist Group. They are based at the top of the Ruette Braye in Alexandra House. They also provide the cover for the PEH and King Edward. The Eye Clinic has recently moved there from Hautville.

Primary Care Centre

Outside normal working hours, the calls to the Surgeries transfer to the Primary Care Centre up at the Hospital.

Sexual Health Clinic

The Sexual Health Clinic is located at the Orchard Centre in the Grande Rue, St Martins. See this page for more details and information.
