St Martins Nurses

Caroline de Carteret was born in South Devon. She did her SEN Nurse training at Barnstable in North Devon and then worked in Poole General Hospital for 2 years. She moved to Guernsey in 1986 and then converted her SEN qualification to that of RGN at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital. She gained experience of Coronary Care Unit, General Medicine and Surgery. She became a Practice Nurse in 1995, when she joined the Healthcare Group. She has an interest in and Diploma of Preventing Coronary Heart Disease. She also has a Diploma in Weight Management. Caroline carries out clinics on Monday, Tuesday morning, Thursday and Friday.

Juliet Christie was born in Guernsey and educated at the Guernsey Grammar School. She went to the UK and undertook her nursing degree at the University of Surrey. She qualified in 1993. After this she remained in the UK for a number of years working on both surgical and medical wards in Guildford and Slough but ended up working in a  coronary care unit in Reading. She moved back to the island in 1997 and worked on the medical /coronary care unit at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital until joining the Healthcare Group in 2004. Her specific interests in nursing are in cardiac and respiratory care and she has gained further qualifications in both these areas. Outside of work Juliet enjoys keep fit, badminton, diving and travelling. She carries out clinics here at St Martins on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

 

Anne Chamberlain works at all three Surgeries in the Healthcare Group. She trained in Southampton before moving to Guernsey with her husband James. Initially she worked on Victoria Wing in the Princess Elizabeth Hospital and more recently has moved to working in a General Practice setting. She has a particular interest in heart disease and asthma and she also does a lot of the Audit Work in the Practice. In her spare time she enjoys playing Netball and Squash, walking her dogs and travelling. Anne carries out clinics here at Cobo on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoon. 

Caroline Oxborough is married with two children. She qualified as a nurse in 1981 from The Middlesex Hospital in London. She moved here to Guernsey in 1999. Her particular interest is in Community Nursing and she worked as a District Nurse on the mainland before becoming a Practice Nurse in 1990. She has recently completed her degree to become a specialist in Practice Nursing. Her main interests are in assisting people to manage their health, in particular those with asthma, heart conditions, diabetes and weight problems. She has recently set up health promotion clinics in each surgery. She carries out a Health Promotion Clinic on a Thursday lunchtime from 11:30 till 2:00 pm.

 

Stella Vile carries out clinics on Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon. More details will be here soon.
