St Martins Osteopath
We have Jeff Harris who is an Osteopath. He works at St Martins most of the time
but he also does one session a week at Cobo Health Centre.
Jeff Harris
was educated at Garth Hill School in Bracknell. After this he attended Plymouth
University where he was awarded a BSc in Science. After this he went on to gain
a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Bristol University. After this he
worked as a teacher in the UK before moving to New Zealand. There he carried on
with his teaching, and it was at this point that he developed his interest in
fitness. He carried out a Masters by Research in Bundoora and started his
Osteopathic training in 1995 at Victoria University. Since has passed his exams,
Jeff has continued to have an interest in Anatomy and he still keeps up his
academic skills by lecturing in Anatomy and Body Massage at the College of
Further Education here in Guernsey. He moved here in 2000 when he started
working at the Island Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Centre at St Martins.
He has had papers published in Australian Osteopathic Journals and he has always
been very keen to progress his career and his personal skills.
He is very happy to see people with a wide variety of
Osteopathic problems, and he is always keen to help with functional or ergonomic
problems. He can carry out work place assessments if it is felt that this may be
contributing to physical problems for his patients. If you would like more
information about any aspects of Jeff's work then please do speak to Jeff and he
will be happy to give you some friendly, professional advice. His hobbies
include hiking, cycling, resistance training, skiing, wind surfing, fishing,
motorcycling, rationalism and humanism. When not at work he can often be seen
out on his bike or surfing.
